A leaking roof drops into the lounge room...
After returning home from breakfast on a Saturday morning in February this year, I was confronted with barrage of soaked shattered plasterboard and pink bats on my lounge room floor. Bubbles and curvature from the weight of the water created a potential disaster. A one-metre circular hole in my roof was a result of storm damage from torrential rain that was relentless from the night before. Andrew Butler was the first person I thought of to save the day as he had previously been reliable and extremely effective by resolving our plumbing issues. He arrived within the hour, investigated the cause and source of the leak and immediately began to mend the almost invisible puncture in my roof.
Andrew also identified bubbles forming from the collection of water away from the distressed section of the lounge room and attended to these immediately. Andrew lifted us out of our distressed mood as he exuded a self-confidence and reassured us that the problem was now under control. What a relief!
Over the next few weeks, Andrew and his efficient team at Butler Plumbing arrived at the property to adjust the gutters and spent much time and expertise remoulding sections of the gutters with leak proof material. The RACV storm damage assessors commended Andrew’s work and approved my claim.

A faulty gasheater is repaired and hundreds of dollars saved...
We contacted Andrew and Butler Plumbing to look at our faulty gas heater and if possible, look at our gas fireplace.
Over the last few years, we’ve had a number of different gas fitters/plumbers look at our external gas-heating unit as we could smell gas escaping. We were obviously concerned with the potential of a leak. On 3 separate occasions we were informed that the issue had to do with our unit, that it was old and that ultimately we would need to spend a few thousand dollars to replace the unit. They temporarily fixed the unit to keep us going through the winter period, but encouraged us to change the unit.
We were never ultimately convinced that this was the case, so continued to search for a solution. This year, we decided that it was time to spend the dollars and change the unit, so we asked Butler Plumbing to take a look.
On the day, Butler plumbing were on time, very professional, asked us what we’ve been told in the past and what we understood to be the issue before they went off and investigated. To our surprise – thankfully – we were informed that the unit did not need to be replaced and that it was a leak, which could easily be fixed. And they did just that!
We then explained the issue with our gas fireplace, whereby the installer could not get the gas unit working due to the parts not being correct for the unit we purchased. Butler plumbing gave us a curious look and within 5 minutes of investigating the issue, also confirmed that they could fix this too. And they did!
This was fantastic! Butler plumbing saved us $1000’s of dollars!! They were on time, professional, made no mess – they even remembered to lock the back gate when they left! What a great experience!

I'm reasonably handy but obviously plumbing is a step too far, so on a recommendation I called in Butler Plumbing. They were able to fit me in within a couple of days and were prompt and efficient. Josh explained what needed to be done and his initial estimate of the time it would take and the approximate cost was almost spot on. Knowing the hourly rate up front helped me keep control of the job. Very happy with the job and the service.

It is extremely challenging to find excellent tradies these days let alone just a good one. I have to say Butler plumbing are excellent.
Andrew, jenny and the team have always been quick to respond to any of our plumbing needs. They are reliable, efficient, and always happy to fit in around our schedule. One of the things that impressed us the most is how the guys always clean up after themselves, and leave the job site with no mess. On one occasion we had a situation that threw up many challenges, and Andrew and the crew kept persevering and problem solved until we had our bathroom back in working order again.
